The Onnit Primal Kettlebell Workout Challenge: Halfway Point

The first 15 days of the "Onnit Primal Challenge" have been completed using the guidelines above for the number of reps performed each day for each exercise. As mentioned in a previous post, the approach to this challenge is a little different from the recommended "three days a week for five weeks" method — I only have 4 weeks.

Break out your TI-83 calculators because we're about to go through a wild ride of unrelenting mathematics.

Simple multiplication will bring you to a total 15 workouts (3 per week x 5 weeks); divide the number of days I have to complete this challenge into the total number of workouts (30 days ÷ 15 workouts); and we're left with a workout every other day in which to get all the required workouts finished.

The Workout Experience Thus Far

As most of you know I wasn't very happy the first day when I had to max out the number of repetitions for each of the listed exercises. I was tired, out of breath, and weak.

The instructor in the video — the smug bastard that he is — is gracefully jumping around like he just received a blood transfusion from a unicorn. Why not me!?

I can thankfully say that the workouts haven't left me as sore as your mom after a fisting contest like they did on the first day. However, I'm still out of breath a lot as more reps are added to each and every workout; sometimes even having to pause for a few seconds while in the middle of rows, pushups, and most definitely burpees.
