In the interest of time, this will be a quick post to finish up this month. How I Met Your Mother has had plenty of time to throw in some curveballs, considering they've stretched what should have been a 30-minute conversation into nine years long years with a horrible ending.
While most of these plot twists were situationally funny, one twist ending emotionally sucker punched everyone in the taint at the end of an otherwise up-beat, happy episode. And if you think I'm talking about the mother's death, you're fucking wrong!
The season six episode, "Bad News," had quite a few classic moments, especially involving a doctor that looked like Barney Stinson. Then, after finding out some good news about his fertility at the end of a stressful day, Marshall tries to call his father with the good news and is shocked to discover he had died of a heart attack. Marshall is left holding his wife Lily and saying, "I'm not ready for this." And there you have it...
